Swing

'Sometimes I think of things I'd like to happen,' said the small girl,  
'and life gives them to me.
'They land in my lap,
'and if I'm not paying attention
'I don't even realise they're there.' 
'Wow!' said the small boy.

(Pause.)

'Maybe I should do more looking,' said the small girl.
'Maybe I should watch where I'm looking 
'a bit more.
'Maybe I should think about when it's time
'to stop looking at something
'and look at something else instead.'

(Pause.)

'Maybe I should just live in the moment,' said the small girl.
'Maybe life's given me exactly what I need.'
'Swing...' called the dishevelled little owl.
'Wait...' called the small boy,
'I'm coming up!'
'Come on!' called the dishevelled little owl.
