Cranky owl

'I'm cranky,' said the first little owl.
'Oh no! Why?' said the second little owl.
'I didn't get an important thing done because I was doing a fiddly thing instead.'
'Is the fiddly thing done?' asked the second little owl.
'Yes, but I didn't do any of the important thing,' said the first little owl.
'So now I'm cranky.'

(Pause.)

'I should have done the important thing,' said the first little owl.
'Now I'm feeling I'll never get it done.
'It needs so much scheduling...
'and arranging...
'and planning I haven't even started.
'It's very stressful.'
 
(Pause.)

'Can you work on the important thing tomorrow?' asked the first little owl.
'Yes, but...' said the first little owl.
'But?' asked the first little owl.
'Now I'm cranky because the day's finishing, and I'm cranky,' said the first little owl.
'Don't be cranky,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'All right,' said the first little owl. 'I won't.'
