Cranky owl

'I'm cranky,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'Oh no! Why?' asked the brown bear.
'I didn't get an important thing done because I was doing a fiddly thing instead.'
'Is the fiddly thing done?' asked the brown bear.
'Yes, but I didn't do any of the important thing,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'So now I'm cranky.'

(Pause.)

'I should have done the important thing,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'Now I'm feeling I'll never get it done.
'It needs so much scheduling...
'and arranging...
'and planning I haven't even started.
'It's very stressful.'
 
(Pause.)

'Can you work on the important thing tomorrow?' asked the brown bear.
'Yes, but...' said the dishevelled little owl.
'But?' asked the brown bear.
'Now I'm cranky because the day's finishing, and I'm cranky,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'Don't be cranky,' said the brown bear.
'All right,' said the dishevelled little owl. 'I won't.'
