Dreaming

'What are they doing?' asked the small girl.
'Dreaming,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'But the world's full floods and fires...' said the small girl. 'Whatever could they be dreaming about?'
'Possibilities,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'What possibilities?' asked the small girl.
'There are always possibilities,' said the dishevelled little owl.

(Pause.)

'Music,' said the dishevelled little owl, 'is a possibility.' 
'Dancing is a possibility. 
'Flowers are possibilities.
'So is help.
'And kindness.   
'And patience.'

(Pause.)

'Dreaming CREATES possibilities,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'So does trying, 
'and never giving up.
'Need I say more?'
'No,' said the small girl.
'I get it.'
