Perfect strangers

Perfect strangers

January 6, 2021
'Here they come,' said the first little owl.
'One each, you think?' said the pony-tail girl.
'One each,' said the first little owl.
'But they're strangers,' said the pony-tail girl.
'They'll think there's something wrong with me.'
'They'll think you're marvellous,' said the first little owl.

(Pause.)

'What will they do with them?' asked the pony-tail girl.
'They'll find something,' said the first little owl.
'They might not like this sort,' said the pony-tail girl.
'They will,' said the first little owl.
'They might have some, already,' said the pony-tail girl.
'No such thing as too many,' said the first little owl.

(Pause.)

'Now?' asked the pony-tail girl.
'Now,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'Really?' said the pony-tail girl.
'Are you sure?'
'You'll change the world,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'One balloon at a time.'
