'Do you think,' asked the first little owl,
'COVID will make people kinder?' 
'I hope so,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'And do you think,' asked the first little owl,
'it might help people appreciate 
'the small things more...?'

(Pause.) 

'Like how they cough?' asked the dishevelled little owl.
'Yes,' said the first little owl.
'And how they sneeze?' asked the dishevelled little owl.
'Yes,' said the first little owl.
'All that.'
'I hope so,' said the dishevelled little owl.

(Pause.)

The first little owl said, 'I hope COVID
'helps us sort the difference 
'between what we need 
'and what we think we need.'
'I hope so, too,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'These are for you,' said the first little owl.
