'Look,' said the dishevelled little owl.
'A mother and her little one!'
'Aren't they beautiful!' said the first little owl.
'The little one has such blue eyes!' 
'The mother is so attentive!' said the dishevelled little owl.
'Look how she holds the little one so carefully!'

(Pause.)

'Look!' said the mother.
'Owls!'
'Aren't they beautiful!' said the little one.
'I like their yellow eyes.
'And I like their wings.
'And I like the way they fly.'

(Pause.)

'The thing about owls,' said the mother.
'is they know everything,
'about everything.'
'As much as you know?' asked the little one.
'Much more than I know,' said the mother.
'Wow,' said the little one.
