The rise of the introvert
Our Inner Voices - Reflections on COVID-19, the new book from boutique Brisbane publisher, AndAlso Books, creatively documented the biggest story of 2020. I was touched the AndAlso team saw fit to include my snippet, The Rise of the Introvert, in these special reflections on the social and cultural dimensions of the pandemic--creative essays, personal memoirs, poetry, and imaginative short stories from more than 50 Australian writers. Pulling together this much work from so many sources, co-ordinating all the suppliers and marketing is no mean feat at the best of times, but AndAlso Books did it smoothly and quickly. In the middle of a pandemic, no less. The AndAlso team then guided the book into Brisbane's best bookshops, including Avid Reader Bookshop, Books@Stones, Dymocks Indooroopilly, Folio Books, Mary Ryan's New Farm, Mary Ryan's Books, Music & Coffee, Museum of Brisbane, qagoma store, Queensland Museum, Riverbend Books, and State Library of Queensland. This is a fine addition to a series of important anthologies from a small publisher batting above its weight. Congratulations to you, AndAlso Books, and all who sail in you.
The Rise of the Introvert will also be included in Queensland Memory, a joint project by the State Library of Queensland and the Queensland Writers Centre.
Where can I read it?
